Overview

Facilities

Based in Elstead, Farnham Archers has access to a permanently set up shooting range, allowing those archers brave enough to face the weather the possibility to shoot 365 days a year.

The range is large enough to support all metric and traditional distances of target shooting and also clout events. Our field is flat with easy access, has parking for vehicles and is suitable for disabled archers. In addition, on-site toilet facilities are also available.

With a regular calendar of Sunday trophy shoots and the famous FLAG Trophy local interclub competition, Farnham Archers is a thriving club with a relaxed atmosphere which will suit archers of all skill levels.

During the winter months, we participate in the Surrey frostbite postal league and use the indoor target range at the NRA at Bisley, where we shoot weekly from 18:30 to 20:30 on Tuesdays.

Beginner’s Sessions

If you are interested in finding out a little more about Archery perhaps you may like to join in with our beginner’s sessions through the summer.

If so please contact Mrs Peggy Fox on 01252 323368

These are run over two separate sessions of four consecutive Saturdays Starting in May.

You pay a fee of £35 for adults and £25 for juniors (under 18) and we provide tuition and all the necessary equipment to start you off.

The sessions are relaxed but follow the safety rules and the basics of archery etiquette.

You get to shoot for approximately 2 hours per session

We try to provide at least one experienced archer to a maximum of 2 beginners but it is often one to one tuition.

If at the end of the sessions you may wish to continue shooting and ask to join the club.

“Have a Go” sessions

The club regularly accommodates local schools, clubs and businesses for “Have a Go” sessions. The club provides all the equipment required.
